I find the idea of teaching the theory of Intelligent Design as a scientific alternative to evolution totally ridiculous. And I gladly welcomed this bit of news.
In my close circle of friends and family, I don't think anyone questions evolution; but I know that most of them ardently believe that someone up there will help them with their problems ! That's why I now look at all the thinkers, who could question practising beliefs and who could propound scientific theories, with a renewed admiration.
