The Da Vinci Code

R and I are planning on watching the movie when it gets released. So I had to read the book. The mass popularity of the book had sort of diminished my interest in the book. Yes I think I am a snob :).

Anyways, so I picked up the book last week, finished it a couple of days back, and believe me I stick to my initial prejudice against the book. The genre I admit was new, but the writing style was like any John Grisham, Robin Cook novel. I just don't understand how the book got the "intellectual" status ! It was a regular, actually a predictable page-turner. The premise was quite interesting, but that's all I can say of the book.
