Indian Feudal Charity

This article drew my attention to the Indian mindset about charity.

Its so much easier to be charitable to someone who works for you, but it is not charity, as one is expecting some gratitude and of-course better service. Some may argue that if one is surrounded by a sea of poverty, then helping those who work for you is just one of the ways you can help the less priviledged. Maybe.

But I say, any form of charity may it be feudal or anonymous is good, as long as it is just charity, and is not an expectation of servile loyalty.
