Easter

My working mom's group had arranged an Easter egg hunt for all the kids at a nearby park. As soon as we reached the park, S spotted a dog that someone had brought with them. He went and petted it. And then he spotted the Easter Bunny (a friend in costume). He screamed with delight and went close to the bunny, but was wary enough to keep a safe distance initially. And half way through the egg hunt he even sat on the bunny's lap.

Then all the kids started the egg hunt. S was more keen on opening the eggs and eating the froot loops and gold-fish. I think he probably was thinking, "Why do I need to collect the eggs, if I can eat my fill right here in the grass? There sure seem to be lots of eggs."

The pinata was a big hit. S loves bats and I was surprised to see that he was very happy to stand and cheer while the other kids were having a go at the pinata. Periodically, he would clap as well with glee. And he had lot of fun hitting the pinata.

And then there was a bike on a kiddie rollercoaster. All a kid had to do was sit on the bike, and with a little push get a thrill of a ride. The bike went through a few smaller bumps gained some speed and continued on the grass. We were not sure if S would enjoy it, or if he would keep his balance. But he was cheering the other kids and so we gave it a try. He just LOVED it.

And then the parachute dance with the white sheet.. all the kids were having a fun time. And S wanted to help the dads with the sheet. We managed to capture a picture of him holding the sheet.

It was a fun fun Easter.
